2011 AEV Type 1, Dodge Ram 4500 Ambulance

Year: 2011 (2009 cab and chassis)

This AEV Type 1 Ambulance was in service until March 2025 when a new ambulance was purchased. It has been meticulously maintained with regular servicing.

Check engine light has come on in the past. Codes pointed to one of the emission sensors but not specific enough to change them all. Did not affect performance. Despite new steering gear, steering is still has some play.

Seller’s Terms & Conditions

Ambulance is sold as is and buyer is responsible for pickup or shipping of the ambulance within one week after sale. If the buyer is not an EMS service they are responsible for de-identifying ambulance, disabling emergency lighting and radios within 14 days of purchase. Stryker Cot Powerload is not included with ambulance. Will be removed before sale is finalized.

A:	Sure, interior height is 68", wheelbase is 169" and bumper to bumper is 293" +/- an inch or two. Box length is 154"and width is 95". Let me know if you other questions. -Answered on 06/23/2025 12:36 PM

A:	#1: As I stated in the Seller's Terms and Conditions, the power load is not included in the sale and will be removed before finalization of the sale. #2: The AC and heat work in the cab and pt compartment. The AC unit was replaced recently. See Inv. pdf dated 07/27/2024. #3: 4 wheel drive works as it should. 4 wheel high was only used when the roads were snowy or icy. 4 wheel low was only used when someone occasionally mistakenly put it in 4 wheel low. #4: There are no fluid leaks from engine, transmission, or any differential. Clean floor in ambulance bay. #5: The check engine light is not on now but in the past the light has come on on occasion and we have had it checked out. The last time the mechanic said it was one of the emission sensors but the code couldn't specify which sensor so he reset the light and wanted to see if he could get more specific code if the light came on again. Something that hasn't happened since. I don't know any of the codes. When the check engine light has come on the performance of the engine was never affected. #6: The truck has the original engine and transmission.
