Payment Details
Once Bidding has closed, the a representative from the Town will contact the successful bidder by phone to notify them of and will email an invoice. The successful bidder shall be responsible for coordinating with Vehicle Maintenance Department (508-660-7333) to schedule a time and date to pick up their items. DO NOT SHOW UP WITHOUT MAKING AN APPOINTMENT. Once you have scheduled an appointment for pick-up , the successful bidder shall present personal identification, a check written payable to the order of “Town of Walpole” for the total amount of the item and before receiving the bill of sale and item. Payment for this item shall be accepted at the Purchasing Department, Walpole, MA. Again, only after receipt of payment will the Town issue the items to the awarded bidder. The Town WILL NOT assist in moving or loading any item, as these responsibilities will be expected of the buyer. Please come to pick up your items prepared (with Hand Truck, Straps, Chains, or anything you may need to retrieve your item). At any time, the Town of Walpole reserves the right to reject any bid submission.
