Item Description

LIKE NEW CONDITION..   ONLY 91 ORIGINAL HOURS..  This patcher was built custom for our small municipality without the need for a dump truck.  All you need is a truck to tow it, pea gravel, and oil.  Gravel goes directly into the hopper of the unit, which when operated blends with heated oil into a patch material for filling potholes, trenches, etc..  This unit has been kept inside a climate-controlled garage since the day it was purchased, so there is absolutely no rust or hardly any signs of wear on the unit.  We just don't use the unit enough (as indicated by the hours) and have prioritized the need for more floor space in our shop.

Q:
"Is this unit good for doing residential driveways ...not sure how it works but seams it would work doing bigger areas,..like driveways 3,000 to say 5,000 sqfoot or is this unit not good for something like that ..just trying get good ideas it would work for us when we do oil and stone driveways with that work"

A:
We have never used it for that purpose as we are municipality that primarily deals with city streets. However, it does put out a chip and oil type material. I believe you can prime coat the oil and then coat with chip, if you don't want them to blend together like a patch. I know sometimes we would have our mixture ratio saturated with a little extra oil and then you can spray dry rock on top of it. Hope this helps..

Q:
"Also whats the reserve price you guys looking for and can you still get parts if this was special made unit for you ...i see motor will not be issue but the unit its self "
- Asked by #59643357 04/04/2024 10:23 AM
A:
Reserve is $30,000. Original Purchase price was $55k to 60k. We have not recently purchased any parts other than a heating element a few years back, but I would be happy to double check with our distributor to inquire and I will report back to you. UPDATE: I have contacted the location to get parts and the guy I need is out of town on business. I will be in touch with him tomorrow or Monday and will update at that time. The only part of the unit that was custom is the hopper itself, normally these are built to feed directly from a dump truck into the unit. So I can't imagine that getting parts is an issue, but I will let you know 100% either way. (edited on 04/04/2024 12:44 PM)
