Payment Details
Payment due in full when item is picked up. A cashier’s or certified check written out the Borough of Leesport is required. No personal checks or other forms of payment will be accepted. An appointment must be made to finalize all paperwork and title transfers.
Item Description
Listed is a 2006 John Deere Back Hoe. Body is in good condition. Back Hoe engine was serviced in September 2023, has two new front tires but has a bad hydraulic pump.
Borough of Leesport, as seller, disclaims any warranty, guarantee of representation of any kind, expressed or implied, as to the merchantability of fitness for any purpose of the property offered for sale. Vehicle being sold on "AS IS" basis.
Bidders must be 18 years old and legally able to form binding contracts as buyers. Placing a bid creates a legally binding contract between Buyer and Seller. Payment in full is due no later than seven (7) calendar days from the time and date of the Notice of Award or the Borough reserves the right to relist the item or award it to the second highest bidder. The successful bidder shall make payment to Borough of Leesport in the form of certified check or cashier’s check, made payable to the Borough of Leesport, 27 South Canal Street, Leesport, PA 19533. Successful bidder shall remove the item(s) within seven (7) calendar days following receipt of payment. Refunds will not be given for items that are not picked up by the deadline. The Borough of Leesport reserves the right to reject any or all bids or portions thereof and to accept the bid which it determines in its best interests.

GENERAL PROVISIONS
Please note: It is the responsibility of all bidders to read and understand the following provision of sale and bid procedure. Failure to comply with all provisions may result in bid rejection. In the event you do not understand the following provision and further clarification is needed, please contact Sandra Pascavage at 610-926-2115, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 9:00 am and 4:00 PM.
EQUIPMENT TITLE TRANSFER- The successful bidder shall be responsible for all costs incurred for title transfer as may be required, if any. All equipment offered for sale within this contract is currently owned and maintained by the Borough of Leesport, Leesport, PA.
PRE-BID INSPECTION- All equipment offered for sale may be inspected on site Monday through Friday by appointment only at the Leesport Borough, 27 South Canal Street, Leesport PA 19533. Equipment is offered for sale "AS IS WITH NO WARRANTIES OR GUARANTEES". The successful bidder, upon making payment and taking ownership, shall be responsible for removal and all costs incurred for removal of said equipment. Buyer has sole responsibility of picking up the equipment, delivery is not available. Borough of Leesport is not responsible for equipment once it has left the Borough property. In the event the successful bidder is unable to schedule removal of equipment at time of purchase, special exceptions must be agreed upon.

If buyers fee is 8% for bids up to $99,999.99, 5% for bids $100,000 - $499,999.99, and 4% for bids over $500,000.
- Winning bid: $50,000: = Buyers fee: $4,000 (8% of $50,000).
- Winning bid: $150,000: = Buyers fee: $10,500 (8% of $100,000 = $8,000) + (5% of $50,000 = $2,500).
- Winning bid: $550,000: = Buyers fee: $30,000 (8% of $100,000 = $8,000) + 5% of $400,000 = $20,000) + (4% of $50,000 = $2,000).
Where can I see what the buyers fee is?
The current buyers fee will always be shown on the page of the listing under the current price in both the bid area and auction details area. You will also see the buyers fee amount you will pay for your entered bid on the page where you confirm your bid.
What if the selling agency rejects my bid?
If the government agency rejects your bid (they reserve the right to do so) your buyer's fee will be returned, in full, to you within 5 days of notification to Municibid of the rejected bid by the governing body.

If you do not pay for your item, you will not receive a refund of your buyer's final sale fee, you will no longer be permitted to bid on municibid.com and will be subject to a penalty of 40% of the winning bid amount. If your credit card is declined for insufficient funds, you will be charged a $50 fee.
