Item Description

Description/condition: Classic 1960s motor-hotel sign with neon lettering. Condition of neon unknown. Item is in used condition with scratches, peeling paint and other signs of wear. See photo.

Item is sold “as is". Please note condition in item description and photos.

Item may be reviewed from the parking lot at 5637 Lyndale Ave S, Minneapolis, MN.

Buyer shall be responsible for safely and professionally dismantling or otherwise removing, loading and hauling away the sign. The steel and concrete base can remain.
Buyer shall schedule and coordinate removal with the county, with removal to be completed during normal weekday business hours no later than May 1, 2023.
County shall complete electrical disconnections prior to removal by buyer.
Prior to removal, the buyer shall provide to the county a written plan for the removal, including a safety plan.
The site is under renovation. Buyer and buyer’s contractors shall provide all equipment, labor and incidentals required to safely remove the sign and protect facility residents, personnel, the general public and other property.
Buyer shall provide any permits required by applicable authorities having jurisdiction, with the exception of electrical permits, which shall be provided by the county or the county’s electrical contractor.
Buyer shall provide a certificate of insurance, naming Hennepin County as additional insured for general liability coverage. See attached insurance requirements.

Winning bidder will be contacted by Hennepin County Facility Services staff. A county project manager will be assigned to coordinate to schedule removal. County staff are not available to assist with removal or loading of items.

What if the selling agency rejects my bid?

If the government agency rejects your bid (they reserve the right to do so) your buyer's fee will be returned, in full, to you within 5 days of notification to Municibid of the rejected bid by the governing body.
