Q:
"why are you selling the equipment? what is the condition of the equipment? does is come with the upsteam and downstream steam boxes - known as "A" and "B"?"
- Asked by #28344114 03/19/2020 03:52 PM
A:
Well that has a long answer, but I will try and make it short: We are a municipality that lined all our VCP 8" sewer segments and some deteriorating ACP 8" to 24". We began lining in 2011 when contracted lining was upwards of $50 a foot for 8" pipe when lining projects were under 5000 feet. Beginning in 2011 and through 2017 pricing was falling but we were still lining at around $19 a foot for 8" and savings were substantial. We lined mostly 8" 24" and storm 30". Around 2017 and to present day competition in the industry drove prices into the $20's, for 8" making our savings margins extremely short. The value of our small field crew was best served by redirecting our efforts to routine cleaning maintenance and CCTV system inspection. We now contract all CIPP work. The equipment is "close to new" condition. Has no defects or problems. This is Perma Liner equipment, including the steam control as pictured. This system does not use two steam controls, since the downstream side in the CIPP lining process is typically the venting end.
