Special Notes: This compact Shimadzu LCMS 2020 is a single quadrupole mass spectrometer that provides the ultimate in high-speed analysis with unrivaled sensitivity. It offers fast accurate detection of trace impurities present in pharmaceuticals samples, environmental pollutants, and other samples. Also 3 points yield high-speed, ultra high-sensitivity mass spectrometer measurements: UFswitching with 15 msec high-speed positive/negative ionization mode speed, UFscanning with 15,000 u/sec high-speed scan measurements, and UFsensitivity with innovative ion optic functions allowing superior sensitivity and repeatability with an upper mass limit of 2000 Daltons. Additional features include multiple ionization options for ESI, APCI, and DUIS analysis, plus a dual ion source to enable simultaneous ESI and APCI analysis. The mass spec is paired with an Edwards 30 pump.
This mass spectrometer unit can be operated alone or connected to either a new or an old liquid chromatography unit with backward compatibility. The LabSolutions LCMS Ver.5 control and analysis software pre-installed on a Dell Precission T3500 desktop uses simultaneous data collection for a maximum 64 methods, such as scan, SIM, profile, positive ion, negative ion, and CID switching. The updated data browser allows comparing multiple sets of data or confirming impurities by linking to LC or MS data especially helpful for users in fields where compounds are synthesized, such as pharmaceuticals and chemical products. In addition, manual peak integration can be conducted on both LC and MS chromatograms simultaneously, and a variety of formats are available for convenient reporting. This full system is backuped up by an APC Smart-UPS RT 3000 uninterrupted power supply to avoid data and sample loss during unexpected power outages.
