Item Description
Description: Anaerobic chamber setup with automatic airlock, unused replacement chamber "bag" and vacuum pump
Brand: Coy Laboratory Products, Inc. Model Number: AALC-S
Serial Number: AC-860502-R Type: Anaerobic Chamber
Year Purchased: 1986 & 2012 Original Purchase Price: $ 13,300
Condition of Equipment: Good
Does the equipment function properly: Yes
Special Notes: This 4 glove anaerobic chamber setup is constructed so that two people can work in the same chamber side by side with standard work space in order to increase work flow and save space. This reduces the space and supply storage need for housing 2 separate chambers, allows for experiments that require direct manipulation of samples by 2 people, reduces time delays for sensitive collaborative experiments involving 2 people, and removes the need for risking environmental shifts that could result from transporting samples to a second chamber. The anaerobic chamber is constructed using a ergonomically friendly vinyl chamber material including 4 vinyl sleeves for attachment of size selected replaceable latex or neoprene gloves. The chamber also features: a pre-programmed automatic airlock on the right side, a large removable plastic equipment entry port on the left side, 1 left side utility port with rubber stopper installing a 6 outlet power strip with a foot switch, a 78in by 32in protective black rubber mat for the chamber's inner base, a 28in wide by 28in tall and 11in deep 2-level adjustable metal shelf, and one 30in by 18in cutting surface. The chamber work surface is approximately 78in wide by 32in deep and 42in tall depending on internal gas pressure for inflation. The solid airlock inner chamber measures 13in wide by 14in deep and 14.5 in tall with 8.5in wide by 12in tall inner and outer gasketed locking doors. The airlock and chamber are attached to a 8ft wide by 3ft deep mounting board with a 3.5ft tall support structure for the vinyl chamber consisting of molded interlocking hollow aluminum poles. Also included is a Maxima C Plus vacuum pump and a replacement vinyl chamber with door frame mounting kit in original box, which can be installed on location with standard tools.
