Year Purchased: 1988 Original Purchase Price: $ 4,325.00
Condition of Equipment: Good

Special Notes: The Baker SterilGARD SG400 class ll type A/B3 Biological Safety Cabinet offers maximum protection with a negative pressure cushion surrounding the contaminated positive pressure work space making it very appropriate for biosafety level 2 research including culturing cell lines, transferring bacteria, dissecting tissue, processing samples for downstream experiments, etc. Two built-in internal electrical outlets on each side of the cabinet increase flexibility allowing the safe performance of volatile processes such as vortexing, microcentrifuging, heating, and even cell lysis without having to remove biosafety level 2 samples from the cabinet. Also contained on the right side wall is an internal vacuum valve to allow the use of a vacuum pump without disrupting particulate flow in the work space or at the front access window. Included adjustable height legs allow the cabinet to be setup for low seated, higher stool, or standing work. Last certification was July 2017.
