Buyer is responsible for all aspects of the removal of the purchased items. The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary including, loading and transportation of the awarded item off Township property. Buyer must produce the Buyer’s Certificate to the Township employee authorized to release the auctioned item. Vehicle titles and keys will not be released without the Buyer’s Certificate for that vehicle. Removal shall take place between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding Township observed holidays. A DAILY STORAGE FEE OF $100.00 PER DAY WILL BE CHARGED FOR ANY ITEM NOT REMOVED BY October 18, 2013. PARTIAL DAYS ARE CONSIDERED A FULL DAY.
THE TOWNSHIP STRONGLY RECOMMENDS THAT ALL MOTORIZED VEHICLES AND EQUIPMENT BE TOWED FROM TOWNSHIP PROPERTY AND NOT BE DRIVEN UNTIL THOROUGHLY INSPECTED BY A QUALIFIED MECHANIC. SUCH INSPECTIONS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON TOWNSHIP PROPERTY. VEHICLES DRIVEN OFF TOWNSHIP PROPERTY WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO REENTER.
Bidders are encouraged to inspect the property prior to bidding. Inspection will not be authorized prior to the above mentioned start date and time. Township employees escorting potential buyers to inspect the surplus have been instructed not to answer any questions pertaining to any vehicle or piece of equipment offered for auction. Only the Purchasing Department is authorized to provide additional information, schedule appointments and answer any questions regarding the auction items.
