Q: RE: Engine Worm .................................................... You got a worm in your brain , we serviced a fleet of 25 , 7.3 IDI Fords all went 375K + miles with no cooling system problems , we put injection pumps , injectors , glow plugs and glow plug timers now and then ...........but the naturally aspirated 7.3 was a much more trouble free motor than the turbocharged 7.3 . I guess your trying to scare the people that are bidding , GET A LIFE DOUCHE BAG !!!!!!!!!  posted by: 524  9/19/2013 8:17:02 PM

Q: The older international 7.3 ( non powerstroke ) engine had a real serious issue with a engine ruining problem called cavitation or engine worm. The only way to prevent this from happening was to use a system cooling additive or diesel cooling additive added to the antifreeze. Do you know or can you find out for me if the cooling system on this truck has been treated and maintained with the additive or not ? This is such a big issue with these engines that a lot of people wont buy a 7.3 without some kind of proof that the cooling system has been treated and maintained with this additive . Thanks much.  posted by: 11076  9/18/2013 8:10:20 AM
