The Town of Windsor CT is offering to the highest bidder a 1985 Grumman Pumper with a mid-ship mounted pump panel. The truck is Spartan chassis, Detriot Diesel 92 series V6 with 300 HP. The transmission is a Allison HT 740 automatic transmission. Disk brakes on the front and rear of the vehicle and also has a Jake Brake. The front axle is rated at 14,600# and the rear axle at 24,000#. The Waterous pump is rated at 1500 GPM and has recently passed a pump test at slightly below that rating. The water tank is original and has a capacity of 750 gallons of water. Engine hours on the vehicle is 4093 and the current mileage is 41613. The vehicle will have all of the emergency lighting and siren in place. All external valves will remain with the vehicle as well as the outlet/inlet caps. The supply line will remain with the vehicle but the new attack lines will be removed. Some of the loose equipment will be taken off the truck.
The buyer should be aware this truck was a first line piece of apparatus for the town of Windsor until two years ago when it was placed into reserve mode. The vehicle has been serviced on a yearly basis with no existing mechanical problems that the Town of Windsor is aware of.
