DESCRIPTION

The City of Butler, PA is offering one used water slide for sale. The water slide is 150’ in length and 20’ – 2” in height.  Successful bidder will be responsible for removal.   Interested parties may inspect the slide at the pool site in Memorial Park, 100 Memorial Drive, Butler, PA.

Q: Tough to see dimensions off the blueprint. Just looking to get overall length. I know it says 150' but judging from the picture it seems like less.  posted by: 6872  8/23/2012 10:51:36 AM
A: the dimensions are approx. 46 feet wide (from steps to farthest point of slide), 34 feet deep (end of slide to farthest part of slide in rear) and 21 feet high.

Q: I am very interest in placing a bid I just have a couple of more questions. Does it have a pump and piping for pump? Are the stairs concrete treads or fiberglass treads? If neither what kind of material? Is the start platform concrete?   posted by: 7031  8/22/2012 10:25:49 AM
A: It does have a pump and piping for the pump. The stairs and the platform are aluminum. Hope that answers your question.

Q: If I visit the site will I need to make an appointment or will I be able to get close to the slide without having to make an appointment? Also do you have any up close pictures you could post?  posted by: 7031  8/20/2012 6:16:14 PM
A: You should call to make an appointment since the slide is within the pool fence which is locked. there are no closer pictures, but will try to take more.

Q: When was the water slide purchased and installed? Was it purchased new?  posted by: 7031  8/18/2012 9:28:10 AM
A: It was installed in 1996 and it was purchased new.

Q: Is the slide in operational condition? (Any cracks) Also is the pump included? Thanks  posted by: 6872  8/16/2012 3:21:10 PM
A: the pump and piping are included. the slide is in good condition.

Q: 3 questions: Is the online auction final, or do you have it for sale locally? Also, does the winner of the auction get the slide or does it have to be approved by the city (or another individual)? How long do I have to remove the slide? thanks -jon   posted by: 6920  8/6/2012 2:06:47 PM
A: This online auction is final. The sale of the slide has already been approved by city council so the winning bid gets the slide. Would like to have the slide removed before winter.

Q: Could you tell me the measurements how wide (outer post to post). thank you  posted by: 4291  8/1/2012 10:43:41 PM
A: I am trying to add another picture that will show the dimensions (blue print). please bare with me.
