DESCRIPTION
The Town of Norwood offers for sale one (1) Wurlitzer Spinet piano. It needs work and needs tuning. The condition of the piano is poor. There is no warranty on this piece of equipment from the Town of Norwood or the manufacturer of the equipment. The item is being sold “as is”. Prospective buyers purchase at their own risk. The item cannot be returned for any reason. No refunds will be made. The successful bidder will pay all transportation and removal costs. The origination point for this sale is the Norwood Senior Center, 275 Prospect Street, Norwood, MA. The successful bidder is responsible for the removal of it from the premises. There will not be any Town staff available or to be used for assisting in the removal of the equipment. Award shall be made to that bidder which offers the highest price for the item. The minimum acceptable price for the piano is $25. Interested parties should contact Senior Center Director Dorothy Vitale at (781) 762-1201, or Catherine Carney at (781) 762-1240, x107 or email her at ccarney@norwoodma.gov to arrange to view the equipment. The item must be removed from the premises on no later than Wednesday, January 31, 2012. The successful bidder shall make payable to the Town of Norwood in the form of certified check, bank check or money order for the full amount of his/her bid no later than 3:30 P.M. on Wednesday, January 25, 2012, in the Purchasing Department of Norwood Town Hall, 566 Washington Street, 3rd Floor, Norwood, MA 02062. The item shall not be removed until the Town is in receipt of a certified check or money order for the total value of the item(s). The Town shall have the right to reject any and all bids or parts thereof and to waive any defect or irregularities in accordance with MGL Chapter 30B.
Payment Details: The successful bidder shall make payable to the Town of Norwood in the form of a certified check, bank check, or money order for the full amount of his/her bid no later than January 25, 2012.
