Q: Hello, I am inquiring about your 1984 maxum: Any major mechanical problems or rust thru in cab ?? thanks...Chris......Marshfield, Ma.  posted by: 2183  2/28/2011 7:44:37 PM
A: no major mechanical problems it does need some work on the front end like tie rod ends and steering linkage and so forth it does have some rust on the running boards but i do not believe there is any rust holes in the cab. The cab and body are in very good shape. Engine and transmission are in very good condition and so is the pump.

Q: How does it run?  posted by: 2118  2/18/2011 8:51:02 AM
A: The fire truck runs very well no issues with that. Transmission in good running order.

Q: Is the motor a Detroit 8V71? How much rust? Any more pics? Thanks GS gsklar@comcast.net  posted by: 598  2/8/2011 10:31:40 AM
A: The motor is a Detroit 6L - 71T in line 6 cylinder rated at 275 HP at 2100 RPM. There is some rust, mostly in the compartments and on the running boards. I have posted more pictures can get you more if you need.
